This afternoon I suddenly decided I wanted to bake some cookies. I wasn`t entirely certain I had everything I needed but decided to check anyhow. I found a recipe that had good reviews and then checked my cabinets to make sure I had everything. Sure enough, I did! I decided to cut the recipe in half, though, as I don`t really need 3.5 dozen cookies sitting around my house. I will post the link to the recipe I used. They turned out tasting good but I should have followed the recommendation of others and chilled the batter for a bit before baking. Because I didn`t, the batter spread out while in the oven and created a flatter cookie. They are still nice, soft, and chewy... just not fluffy, too. I thought this recipe was nice because while the cookies are sweet they aren`t unbearably so. I will only enjoy one cookie at a time, anyhow, but they aren`t so sweet that if you wanted more you couldn`t stand it. They got 2 chocolate covered thumbs up from my son, too. :-) (you know they are good when a little one enjoys them... they aren`t shy about telling you when something tastes horrible) http://allrecipes.com/recipe/chewy-chocolate-chip-oatmeal-cookies/
