This weekend, I treated myself to a big ol` slice of chocolate cake from my favourite bakery/cafe. They revamped their recipe not too long ago so that the actual cake is moister and lighter. It`s awesome - the cake is the best part. =)
There is also chocolate ganache and chocolate mousse layered on top of/in between the layers of cake. I find this to be a bit heavy, though still delicious. I think it would be great if they lightened it up a bit and made it more whipped and "mousse-y".
As is usually the case after I eat anything with dark chocolate in it, I experiences a bit of a mood boost afterwards. ^^ If I`m feeling down or cranky, chocolate usually saves the day, lol. I should really keep an emergency stash of high-quality dark chocolate at work, now that I think of it...!
