I am a huge huge fan of Greek yogurt. I discovered Greek yogurt last year and to be honest, I didn`t really like it. The consistency was extremely rich and I wasn`t used to something tasting that strong in my mouth. I gave the yogurt a week and still hated it... but something pulled me back into trying it a few months ago and for some odd reason, I have seem to fallen in love with it and the strong taste!
My favorite brand of greek yogurt is chobani. They have so many flavors such as blueberry, peach, and strawberry. They also have more exotic flavors as well such as mango, banana, passion fruit, and pomegranate! (I love the mango and pomegranate ones!) I usually eat them as a snack after school or sometimes as breakfast with a granola bar or a slice of bread and peanut butter! They are really filling and much healthier than normal yogurts!
I think the reason they are so filling is because of their protein content. Each container has about 15 grams of protein!! That is a lot compared to only 6 grams in other yogurts. The protein is probably what keeps me so full. Plus , Greek yogurt is lower in carbs and sodium than normal yogurt and it contains the same amount of calcium! Why wouldn`t someone like greek over regular yogurt with all these advantages?
