After many years of research and development China has introduced eight tablet PC called the RedPad, a new rival to Apple`s iPad2. This tablet is based on the Andrews 3.2 platform.
According to various sources, the RedPad tries to cater more to social media needs than anything else.
Below are the specs:
-Android 3.2 Honeycomb
-A9 dual-core processor
-1GB of RAM
-16GB of storage space
-9.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels
Very decent specifications, but I don`t think they`re enough to compete against the iPad. And to make matters worse it actually costs almost twice as much as Apples iPad:
9,999 RMB = & US$1, 580.
Questions: would you guys think about this new tablet PC? I really don`t think it`s much competition at all. I mean, why pay more for tablet that has less features and is twice the price of a product that is already successful.
