When I got my hands on the Electropop collection, I didnt think Id ever want another bright, summery polish again. Boy was I wrong! When the China Glaze Summer Neons Collection for Summer 2012 ($7 USD each) was announced, I knew we had to be together! How could I have forgotten that neons are one of the hottest trends this summer (so of course China Glaze is going to take care of that)!
This collection features twelve brilliant neon colors to accessorize your look for summer; I have six of them here to show you- but you can see the full line-up here. Your tips and toes will be lusting after each one (I know mine were)! China Glazes neon formula is a lot more thin and streaky than their regular polishes, so be aware- these babies are all three-coaters (for an even better look, go for four super thin coats). I dont mind though, because the final finish is stunning! Some of the shades are shimmers and some are creams- I find the shimmers are a bit more streaky and difficult to apply. China Glaze Nail Lacquers last about 4 days on me with a base coat and top coat. The colors Ive been playing with are:
Sun-Kissed: Hot highlighter yellow; this shimmery yellow is super bright (where are my shades?!), but is so hot!
Orange You Hot?: Bright orange with gold glimmer- by far my favorite out of the whole collection. Im totally on an orange kick right now!
Flirty Tankini: Shimmery strawberry smoothie pink; one of the most wearable shades out of the collection but still bright! Go for this one if youre scared of neon but want to try it out!
Under the Boardwalk: Fluorescent raspberry; this gorgeous cream fuchsia is going on my toes next! Such a great summer color.
Im With The Lifeguard: Glimmering lime green- not for the shy! This neon green is bright, but I totally love it!
Splish Splash: Bright sky blue shimmer; this rich blue is so beautiful! Its not as neon as the others, but its still super eye-catching and something id love to wear by the pool.
