Hey dolls, so this is a pretty exciting post for me. I have been waiting for the China Glaze Magnetix collection since I saw the promos for it months ago and I was finally able to get a couple of shades from it. So anyways lets get straight to it
Attraction is your basic charcoal grey/black shimmer. This was the one I knew I was going to get even from early promo pics, I wanted to get just a good basic/neutral shade so of course I went for the grey/black. This one has very fine shimmer which gives this polish some real intensity which I really like however I didnt find it as effective with the magnet. The designs didnt stand out as much as the other colour I got but that could just be down to the fact that the colours (grey and black) dont have as much of a dramatic contrast like the other one that I tried. I didn`t do a very good job with the swatches for this polish either... actually I did a pretty crap job because I was in a rush but you get the idea lol. Either way I do love this, its very pretty. This polish only took one slightly thicker coat which was great and the drying time is pretty quick as well.
Pull Me Close is the blue (doesnt show up very well in pictures) from the collection that pulls up black designs with the magnet. This was my fave out of the two, besides the fact that I LOVE blue this one had the most contrast in terms of colours (blue black) so the patterns created were more obvious. This one didnt have the super fine shimmer, the formula was easy to apply and the patterns were easily distinguished between the base colour and the colour of the patterns. I only needed one thick coat for it to be opaque and it also dried pretty quickly.
The MAGNET I had heard a lot of bad reviews on this magnet however as I had not tried a magnetic polish before I didnt really have any expectations or anything to compare it to. I found the magnet to be pretty good. It isnt super strong however it does its job. I held the magnet over the polishes for around 20seconds on each finger which worked pretty well for me although I will say I need to practice a little more with the star pattern and the arrow.
All in all I am pretty happy with this and I will probably end up picking some more colours up at some point. So what do you dolls think? Have any of you picked these up???
