Hi everyone! Here is an old haul from Charming Charlie that happened a few months ago. I received a $10 off $30 coupon in an email, and decided to check out what they had. The closest CC is still about 40 minutes away from me, but luckily it`s located in an area with a few interesting stores so it wasn`t a waste of a trip.
What I picked up:
>> elastic hair ties ($5 on sale, originally $10): This style of hair ties has become really popular over the past year or so, and they have been what I wear on my wrist lately. When they are brand new they look like cute colorful bracelets, but they are also functional.
>> Gold 3 ring set ($10): I loved this ring set because the bands are a mix of intricate and simple. One band is a simple eternity band with rhinestones, the second a sort of `fishtail` band that looks like hearts and the third is leaves with rhinestones.
>> Rose gold leaf ring with peach rhinestones ($10)
>> Gold cluster ring ($13)
With the $10 off coupon it was like getting one of the $10 items for free, which is not bad. Their jewelry is nice but can be pretty a little pricey for costume jewelry, especially if you compare it to pieces you can get at Forever 21. To increase the longevity of the `plating` I coat the pieces with clear nail polish. This is a great trick if you find that wearing costume jewelry, particularly rings, results in a green mark on your skin. It means your particular body chemistry reacts with the plating and wears it off, revealing the base metal underneath that also reacts with the oils on your skin to leave the green mark.
Thanks for reading! Have you bought anything from Charming Charlie lately?
