Chanel Ilusion D`ombre in Fantasme
We all dream of owning a little piece of Chanel on our dressing tables from a young age when we only knew that symbol meant designer. So to own my first piece is certainly a privilege one that Lucy at Grazedknees gave away in her giveaway last August and I am very thankful for! I`ve been using this often as my highlight and eyeshadow, it really is a gorgeous product!
The Ilusion D`Ombre shadows are a really unique product. They are similar to a mouse and gel consistency, not like the maybelline mouse products but slightly fluffy and almost has no weight to it when you touch it. When you do swatch it with a finger you find that flakes come up which you can see int he swatch below, this shows the consistency however it quickly produces a beautiful glitter and shine once blended.
I apply this with a variety of brushes. For eyeshadow on the lid I use a blending brush.
For the brow bone I tend to use any brush however I`ve found those cheapo/free sponges you get with makeup pallets is perfect for packing on a highlight.
I also apply this upon my tear duct to to light then eye. I know many often use this as a waterline highlight such as the trend of white waterline but I`d feel that the glitter could irritate my eye and I dont want that to happen if I was wearing other makeup.
It truely is a beautiful silver/shimmer and I do enjoy using this. If your a fan of glitter then this is for you, I know theres often beauty bloggers that are often put off by glitter but I think this is really unique and Iprefer this as a highlight as I find this stays put better than any `regular shimmery highlight` such as the one in the contour kit or a shimmered eyeshadow.
There are many colours on offer if this glitter does not take your fancy and they can be brought from many department stores for £22.50 which is pricey but I think is a definite treat and everyone loves Chanel right? Have you tried any chanel products which were your favourite?Or can you recommend more D`ombre shades?
