I had this long conversation with myself - I debated between a few things from Mac or - a couple of things from say .... Chanel. Clearly - the latter won.
this purchase can be partly blames on instagram and partly on Too Faced. I saw a couple of swatches of this shade - Juicy Melons - and thought it was beautiful, just gorgeous. I already own one in Coral Fire and I love it, the texture and pigmentation and omg, just amazing lipsticks, totally worth the price. it`s a beautiful pink coral shade, kind of bright but soft and buttery , just a fantastic lipstick. now - I can`t say that for all of them, I did swatch Marshmallow Bunny but it came off kinda frosty and that`s just never pretty on the lips
as far as the Chanel haul goes, I ended up choosing a beautiful and vibrant color - Rouge Allure in 93 Exaltee. it`s supposed to be an intense fuchsia although to be honest ... yeah I don`t know. anyways, this shade actually looks deeper in the bullet than it does on my lips, I love that one swipe can give you a very sheer wash of color but man, two swipes gives you full blown lips. it is so pigmented it even seemed to stain my lips so absolutely happy with this purchase - my first Chanel lipstick btw
it`s a push and pop mechanism, so you push the bottom (golden) part and it pops out, then you push it again to lock it in place. my biggest "fear" is that the black case will get scratched. unlike the Chanel eyeshadows and blushes, this does not come in a little velvety pouch
my other Chanel purchase was a blush, again, my first. to be 100% honest - I wanted Malice. I swatched it and drooled but alas, they were sold out. now me wanting instant gratification, I picked another, 99 Rose Petale. don`t get me wrong, they are both equally beautiful and I am very happy I bought it, love it already !
these are "soft" swatches yet even so, you can see how pigmented all three are. I really think Chanel is a great brand, I love it just as much as I love Burberry LOL
