One of my favorite things to do when I`m in San Francisco is to go to Off The Grid. It`s an event in San Francisco where a bunch of food trucks come together. The biggest Off the Grid event is usually on Friday nights when its at Fort Mason center and theres an average of about 30 different trucks. I love going to Off the Grid because there`s so much diversity and its all right in front of you. I just feel so San Franciscan whenever I eat at Off the Grid. LOL!
One of my favorite food trucks at Off the Grid is Chairman Bao. Yes I know it`s a weird name with the chairman and whatnot but the sandwiches (or rather buns) are fantastic. Especially their tender pork belly! Their pork belly is going to be the juiciest, tender pork belly you`re gonna find. My mouth waters just thinking about it. It`s seasoned just right and you get the nice crunch from the daikon that comes along with the bun (I`m also a bit of a daikon fanatic so even better). Mmmm I want some right now even though I just had it two days ago. Haha.
Definitely probably the best pork belly sandwich you`re going to find in the city. If you`re in San Francisco, definitely try to stop by Off the Grid. Hopefully Chairman Bao will be there.
