Century Egg and Pork Congee

Recently my mom made congee and whenever she makes congee she makes the preserved egg and pork type. Along with the congee she puts in a whole bunch of extras like dried oysters and other things I don`t know the name of in English. She does this because it enhances the taste of the congee. Whenever I eat congee I like to put cilantro and onions in the congee too because I love the taste along with the congee. Sometimes my mom buys the youtiao to dip in the congee which is a deep fried strip of dough. It`s not really healthy so my mom doesn`t really buy. I love congee because it`s very hearty and I just love congee especially the way my mom makes it. You just can`t beat your mom`s cooking.
