Hyundai announced this week that it is developing a new use for NFC technology. The South Korean automaker plans to put on the market by 2015 the first vehicle whose drive of the game can be done via mobile phone.
The first models to receive the new technology for the presentation were the vehicles of the New Generation i30 line. However, the automaker has not released what will be the vehicles that will feature in the future.
With NFC technology, each vehicle will have a number of custom profiles, identifying only specific smartphones - either through software or serial device. In addition to releasing the vehicle departed, custom profiles must allow other automatic adjustments such as position of the seats and mirrors or radio volume.
