New York City as many people probably know is well known for fashion as well as having many flagship designer stores strategically places on Fifth Avenue. On Saturday, May 4th Dolce & Gabbana opened a new store on Fifth Avenue. There were a host of celebrities attending the highly anticipated event. One in particular, was singer Alexis Houston. She attended the event with her stylist to the stars Philip Bloch.
Alexis Houston is a singer, songwriter, and producer and these are just a few of the titles that you can attach her in addition to being, related to the late and great Whitney Houston. With pedigree aside, the talent speaks loudly on it`s own. Alexis grew up singing in the various choirs at New Hope Baptist Church, in Newark NJ, under the watchful eyes of Anne Drinkard Moss and her gospel legend sister, Cissy Houston. Although she studied medicine the draw to music was too great to resist.
Her debut album, `Speak Love-Life Lessons` was released on All`s Well Music/EMI in 2010 to critical acclaim. She promoted this album with two European and Asian tour with of 72 tour dates. One of these dates included a performance for the UK`s Prince Charles at his Prince`s Trust Gala.
