This outfit was inspired by the gorgeous day my corner of the world had today and by the fact that the weatherman said this morning that the forthcoming week should be nice too :) hence the very casual and comfortable vibe to the look.
I stumbled upon this skirt, an ankle length bohemian gyspy skirt, when I was searching for one on Polyvore and fell in love with it. With all its ornamentation and intricacies, I decided to go more plain/casual with the rest of the look, just so stuff wouldn`t clash horrifically.
That`s why I chose the top I did, a white peasant top with 3/4 length sleeves and a lace insert (the insert is easier to see in the pink version of this shirt). So simple a shirt, yet so versatile. The sandals are very cute, with a macrame style thick strap around the ankle and on the actual foot, like a regular pair of thong sandals.
The bag is by far and definitely the most crazy aspect of the outfit. I can`t even really say as to why I chose it, just that some stroke of insanity might have seized me when I was making this and because the purse just looks so *fun*. It`s a studded fringe crossbody purse that came from http://bucket.com and is also available in black and red.
The earrings are a pair of Panacea earrings from Neiman Marcus, a cute blend of bead and pearl on a teardrop earring. The bracelet I picked out (that I want) is a motif 56 Julia cuff bracelet in its natural brown color (it also apparently comes in black). The necklace is officially known as a `beach pendant necklace` but I kinda look at it as a sort of the necklace version of a charm bracelet, because it`s got two shell-looking charms, a random ball of a stick looking material and this gorgeous round charm attached that I don`t know what the hell it is but it looks very pretty.
The ring is a casual, funky and kinda cool shield ring with a coral colored stone set in the center that does well with blending in with elements of the outfit I think. The last piece of this whole shebang is the fedora. It`s a trilby hat made out of a material that reminds me of wicker and has a lace band to add a little delicacy and femininity to its overall look.
Let me know what you think, because overall, everything in the set was $50 or less.
