How many of you out there actually know what a cassette is? None of you? Do I see a hand up out there? Yeah, I guess some of us are a bit young to remember, but I used to listen to custom mix tapes all the time as a kid before I got my hands on a portable CD player. Yes, CDs did exist, too. But that`s a story for another day.
As ridiculous as it may seem, this was created to allow you 80`s and maybe 90`s kids to convert your mix tapes into mp3 files that will automatically be stored onto your iPod or iPhone. It`s a really simple process because you just need to download the free app.
With the free app downloaded, you pop in the cassette tape, dock your iPod or iPhone, and press play. It will then convert your tape into an mp3 file. Cool? Maybe.
For $80, I don`t think I would ever get it. Sure I may have liked my mix tapes back in the day, but I can still play those same songs on YouTube. It`s not that hard. And with song files selling for $0.99 each (or maybe even less), it`s definitely more wallet-friendly to buy a good quality mp3 file than to convert one from an old cassette.
Get with the times, people!
