When my boyfriend and I went to First Markham Place yesterday for lunch, we ate at the food court.
I ordered a bibimbap from the Korean stall, he ordered a Cantonese style lunch from the Hong Kong dim sum stall.
For $3.95, he got a huge dish of chow mein and a bowl of imitation shark fin soup. He put a lot of hot sauce on the chow mein because it was only flavored with soy sauce and he put white pepper in the imitation shark fin soup.
I love imitation shark fin soup so I swapped my miso soup with his =) I also stole some of his chow mein. I didn`t really like it though. The chow mein was a bit soggy yet firm because it was left out so long. The good part was, it was under a heat lamp so you didn`t get served cold food. There were also no other ingredients in the chow mein, it was just pure carbs deep fried in oil and soy sauce. It didn`t look too healthy to me.
I did enjoy the imitation shark fin soup though. They added a lot of mushrooms and shredded chicken in it, making a very rich soup. I drank half only because I felt really bad for the boyfriend =P
After about 2 hours or so, he got hungry so he made some food for himself.
What do you guys think?
