When it comes to lenses thats when I literally start hearing my wallet crying in pain. Why is my wallet crying, you ask? Well, you probably know it all too well. THEY ARE TOO PRICEY. When I was looking for my digital SLR camera I wanted a CANON because it was my favorite brand and even now is still my most picked brand. The only think that I am having problems is that the canon lenses are a little pricier compared to other brands (I still love you CANON).
As a birthday present, my friends got me a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Autofocus Camera Lens. People who owns or are interested in getting a Canon EOS 7D, 60D, EOS Rebel SL1, T1i, T2i, T3, T3i, T4i, T5i, XS, XSi, XT, XTi Digital SLR Cameras you would be able to use this lens with the SLR camera I have listed. I wanted a new lens for a long time because I wanted to explore different other ways to get the shots I have flowing through my head. I have had this lens for a while now and I was able to get good shots.
This lens is awesome and I would recommend it to everyone. This lens was bought in amazon. The one bad thing about it is that this lens doesn`t have a zoom feature, which I constantly forget. In order to get a close up with this lens, I have to zoom in with my feet, in other words get closer to the subject.
What I love about this lens is that you would be able to get a blurry background, also known as the Bokeh effect. Here is a tip that I have learn from using this lens. When the lens is wide open to F1.8 you will not be able to focus as needed, so be aware of that. I was having some difficulty with it at first, but by playing with it I was able to get good compositions later on.
Just to give you a tip , digital SLR camera isn`t really important when getting the right shot. What really matters are the lenses. Im not just talking about the zoom or the wide angle the lenses are capable of. You should pay attention to the maximum size of the aperture, f-stop, and other characteristics.
