Caerlaverock Castle is a moated triangular castle, first built in the 13th century. It`s located in south-west Scotland.
Although demolished and rebuilt several times, the castle retains the distinctive triangular plan.
Caerlaverock Castle is within the Nith Estuary National Scenic Area, protected for its scenic qualities. Is at the northern edge of the Caerlaverock National Nature Reserve.
And, it`s also an important place for waterfowl and wading birds.
I think it`s a wonderful castle, fulled with history.
And i wouldn`t mind to visit it, at all!
So beautiful, don`t you think?
Hope you like it!
