Buying an Ultrabook?

Hey looking to buy a new ultrabook (laptop)? Ultrabooks have quickly become a replacement for bulky and heavy laptops in the past couple of years. It is a super lightweight and thin laptop that offers decent performance (offering i5 and i7 processors). Currently the platform for ultrabooks is in a phase called "Chief River" (have 3rd gen Intel processors, minimum battery life of 5 hours etc.) If you aren`t in a hurry and are able to wait until mid-2013 or around June it would be a good idea. Reasons for this are that ultrabook platform will soon become "Shark Bay". The new ultrabooks in Shark Bay will:
- run on Intel`s new Haswell (4th generation processors), which means better performance
- mandatory required minimum battery life of 9 hours
- mandatory requirement of a touch screen (to fully experience Windows 8)

If you want that extra bit of better performance, significantly longer battery life, and a snappy touch screen then you should definitely wait for summer to get your new ultrabook. However if you do not care about these things or simply cannot wait then the ultrabooks of today will do you just fine! If your looking at buying a specific laptop please comment below.
