Living in Seattle, I am surrounded by good food all the time. Down the street from my home is a well-known bakery that makes the best croissants. I don`t think I`ve had a really good croissant since I was a child living in Portland, Oregon. The buttery pastry was flaky and crispy all in the right places. Oh, YUM! I was offered homemade strawberry jam to go along with the croissant and I tried it. It was good with the jam, but I still prefer my croissant plain.
