A couple of evenings ago, my dad and I went to dinner at White Spot. White Spot is a chain of Canadian restaurants, most of which are in BC. It`s kind of like Denny`s, except maybe with somewhat better-quality food.
They had some Comfort Foods on feature, including spaghetti and meatballs, butternut squash ravioli, and chicken pot pie. The waiter recommended the Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Salad, and assured us that we would love it. And we did!
Here`s what was in the salad:
"Fresh BC chicken breast marinated and lightly breaded served with artisan greens in a creamy garlic lime dressing, smoked Cheddar, Southwest black bean salsa and Amorosa tomato."
The salad was sooo good! I haven`t had fried chicken this good in a long time. The batter was tangy and crispy, and the chicken inside was juicy and well-cooked. The dressing was really yummy, as well - it was tangy and creamy. And I just loved the smoked cheddar, it was delicious!
I am definitely going to be ordering this salad again, as it was super tasty and at least somewhat healthy. =)
