I had preiously gotten my nails done with gel and decided I missed painting my nails so I had them taken off. I wouldn`t say that my nails were as damaged as when I used to have them done with acrylic but the surface was definately in need of some maintainance.
I picked up these nail buffing blocks? from priceline for about AUS$7-$8 and it comes with 2. I know there are other buffing tools which have 4 or even 6 steps but personally i don`t really think you need that many unless you have a lot of free time.
Even after using these ones with 2 sides the difference was really amazing. I took off my previous polish [sally hansen gem crush glitter polish... so hard to remove = =] I just used the grey side to buff out all the rough spots or ridges and used the white side to give it a shine. I really like the end result! It looks as if I have on a clear polish. I might consider wearing my nails bare more often in the future ^^
Just a quick side note: as you can see from the above pic I also picked up the maybelline Master Precise liquid eyeliner from their eyestudio line as my friend recommended it to me. This retails for around AUS$13 but i had a $5 off coupon yay :D Will let you guys know my thoughts on this later on.
