Breakfast: East Meets West

My breakfast today was an interesting combination of East meets West. I have been loving all the tetrapak teas from Tea Time and decided to try the "Royal Darjeeling Milk Tea" this morning. Instead of a conventional pastry, I had a very unique Chinese pastry called "Osmanthus Cake." the Osmanthus is a little white flower that smells awesome and produces sweet nectar. The concentrated nectar is mixed with sugar, molasses, shortening, and flower to make this cake. They are crumbly, rich, sweet, and smell like flowers. These cakes are often stamped with a flower design.
