I had a funky breakfast yesterday at work as we were still trying to finish the 7 pies that my coworkers bought in.
So I decided to have a small slice of my favorite apple pie again! As you can see, my pie serving skills have started to improve. It no longer looks like a disaster.
I was also eating Nesquik cereal as I was still hungry after the pie.
I love apple pie because it is not overly sweet and tart like other fruit pies, especially the berry ones. The sliced apples help cut a bit of the calories out as it has more volume than the jam used in other pies. For a 1/6 slice, usually apple pies have 50-100 less calories than berry or lemon pies.
I love the Costco apple pies because the pastry they use is very soft and they don`t burn the pie crusts. They`re a bit too sweet though, which is why I eat them cold, rather than heat them up.
On the contrary, after eating the pie, the Nesquik cereal didn`t taste sweet at all =P
