I received an order from http://brazencosmetics.com/ last fall (!) and was going to make a blog post about it, but I`m not running a makeup blog anymore. I still want to share my swatches, though! :) I made my order during a Heartsy sale, and it got to me super-quick despite the high volume of orders Brazen must have been receiving at the time. So I was really impressed by that! I also got two free sample baggies of eyeshadow with my order, which was awesome. :) In the first swatch photo, the names of the eyeshadows are (from left to right):
- Bewitch (green shade)
- Prowl (orange shade)
- Spectacle (yellow shade)
- Courtesan (coral shade)
- Prude (baby pink shade)
Note: I applied these eyeshadows over a primer and took the photo with flash. In the second swatch photo, the names of the lip glosses are (from left to right):
- Epiphany (clear with violet sparkles)
- Shimmy (bright red with gold sparkles)
- Lola (orange/red with gold/pink shimmer)
Note: I took this photo with flash. They eyeshadows are fabulous! They are very pigmented, easy to blend, and are high-quality all around. I like the lip glosses, too, but I`m not a fan of the packaging. Glosses of this consistency (gooey!) should really be in tubes, not jars. It`s kind of gross sticking your finger in it, and it`s hard to apply without a lip brush. And personally, i don`t want to be carrying a lip brush with me everywhere. They are very moisturizing glosses, but they wear off easily, so they do require re-application (which is a pain, what with the packaging). So, I find that I rarely use these glosses despite how pretty they are. They are unflavoured, but Shimmy smells like white chocolate, and Epiphany smells like Sour Patch Kids (Lola is unscented) - I LOVE these scents. They are totally non-sticky, but like I said, they don`t last very long at all. I would order from Brazen Cosmetics again, as I really love their eyeshadows. Their glosses are pretty, but I don`t like the jar format. Fortunately, it looks like they`ve changed the packaging to squeeze tubes. You can see their current lip glosses http://brazencosmetics.com/lipgloss.aspx
. Overall, I give Brazen Cosmetics a B+! :) Have you ever tried Brazen Cosmetics before? Do you buy cosmetics online? If so, what`s your favourite online shop/seller?
