I never knew what to do with pumpkin so I never bothered buying it and try cooking it at home. All that changed when I had braised pumpkin at an Asian restaurant a while ago and although the dish was simple, it was one of the best vegetarian dish I`ve had in a while. I don`t know the exact recipe for the braised pumpkin but this tastes pretty close to what I had :) All you need to do is steam the pumpkin till it is a little softer and then you`d want to slice the skin off. After that, simmer it in soy sauce and sugar for at least 30 minutes till it softens. It is best eaten with rice:)
