Last night I tried out a new recipe! Lately I`ve been trying to get more protein into my diet, so I`ve been looking up a lot of recipes that call for protein powder rather than flour. The recipe that I tried out is called Healthy Pumpkin Bread. Well, I kinda botched it. I didn`t have the right protein powder (it called for egg based powder and I used whey based) and I didn`t have enough pumpkin so I used bananas instead. It didn`t come out tasting gross, just more like sourdough French toast rather than pumpkin bread! I ate it in thin slices drizzled with some reduced calorie maple syrup. It wasn`t too bad, but I think I`ll stick to the protein powder pancakes /viz/strawberry-honey-protein-pancakes that I made before :) That recipe was definitely a winner!
