Just like my phone, I enjoy changing my cases for my laptop but not as often since laptop cases are more expensive than phone cases. And also there doesn`t seem to be as many cases you can choose from for laptops. Anyways, I am getting quite bored with my black incase sleeve which is showing a bit of wear. So I knew it was time to change things up and get a new one.
I decided to randomly browse Groupon for fun. I have never bought anything from there before but their deals seem alright. While casually browsing, I stumbled across this case that looks like a book! I`ve seen people on campus use one similar to this but in brown. And ever since then I`ve been wanting one since it`s unique.
First Impressions of Aduro BookCase:
-Design: It`s really neat that a laptop case can be disguised as a book, which is great if you don`t want your laptop stolen! The spine of the case has gold lettering spelling out BookCase and has these fake markings that are similar to old books. I find that the design is very unique compared to other ones I`ve seen and it definitely makes things more interesting. The zipper around is in gold colour as well. When you unzip it, you will find one large pocket where you can keep a few pieces of paper. And there are five smaller pockets where you can keep smaller things like cash and cards.
-Colour: I decided to stick with black since it`s a classic colour and also I have many things that are gold and black. The other colours that were available were brown, pink and purple. If black was sold out, I would have bought the brown one.
-Size: The one I got is for 13` MacBook Pro and Retina but you can also get it in 15` MacBook Pro and Retina.
-Feel and Weight: The case is made of vegan leather and is smooth. It seems well made except for a few threads here and there. The case is heavier than my incase sleeve, which will add weight to my backpack.
-Price: On Aduro`s website, this case is priced at $80! But on Groupon I got it for $30 which is a lot cheaper! I don`t think I would have splurged $80 for a laptop case.
Review of Groupon:
-Price: Certain things are priced a lot cheaper than if you were to buy the same thing elsewhere, but I find that some things are overpriced for what they are worth.
-Shipping: Honestly this is quite slow. When you buy whatever it is you want on there, the item will not be shipped out until the sale for that item is closed. Then they will ship your information to the company selling your item and then they process it and ship it from there. I had to wait a month before I got this! Talk about slow shipping!
Even though it took a month to receive my item, I`m quite happy with getting such a cute case for an okay price. Hopefully it won`t be too heavy to carry everyday in addition to my textbooks and other school stuff I got to carry.
What laptop do you own?
