Book Review: The Hunger Games (Book 1)

Now, we all know what Hunger Games is about so I`m just going to skip to the actual review.

I read this book out of curiosity since my friends seem to have all read it and liked it. I also wanted to read all three books before the movie came out. Compared to everyone else, I read the series a little late. It was already hyped up and raved on by the time I picked up the first book on October 2011. To be quite honest, I was a tad disappointed about the quality of Collins` writing. Her grammar could use some work. I found a couple of grammar mistakes that should`ve been easy to spot and fix.

Also, I was expecting more action from the games. I feel that the event was ended or paced rather abruptly. There was also no depth to her characters. Overall, it was a good book -4 out of 5 stars- but it didn`t really live up to it`s potential. It could`ve definitely been written a lot better.
