BLT Sandwich

I have been craving a BLT sandwich for a while so I decided I`d make them for dinner tonight. I`m sure you all know, but BLT stands for bacon, lettuce, & tomato. This is the very basic sandwich you can possible make, when it comes to a BLT....

I first cut the raw bacon in half and put them into a baking dish and then into a 400 degree oven until they started to brown. I like to do my bacon in the oven because it cooks more evenly and there isn`t that "danger" of popping oil splattering on your arms, etc. You just have to keep a watch on them so they don`t burn. The moment they turn golden they ARE DONE! Then, I just put them onto a plate, covered by a paper towel to absorb the extra oil.

I toast up 2 slices of bread and spread one piece with mayo. Then, I layer on some fresh lettuce leaves, fresh sliced tomatoe (seasoned with a touch of salt and pepper), then the bacon (as much as you`d like), and finally the last piece of bread. The only thing left to do is ENJOY!

It is as simple as that...but it is SO good! BLTs are one of my favorite sandwiches to eat.
