My boyfriend and I dine at BJ`s quite often and the only `new` item we tried this time is the dessert so I`ll just talk about the dessert. Featuring BJ`s Restaurant and Brewhouse`s newest addition to their menu is the-- Salted Caramel Pizookie.
A little sweet and a little salty. Made with caramel cookie dough, pretzel bites and white and dark chocolate chips. Topped with vanilla bean ice cream, caramel sauce and a Ghirardelli SQUARES® dark chocolate.
This is the most expensive dessert on the menu $6.95, I believe but I chose this not because it was most expensive but I am a huge fan of caramel. I wasn`t too satisfied with this pizookie though because I didn`t quite taste the sweet and salty combination - I tasted more sweet. I liked the white chocolate touch but it wasn`t enough white chocolate nor caramel sauce. I was hoping there was lots of caramel sauce oozing out of the cake and that the Ghiradelli Square would be caramel filling milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate.
Overall: I was quite bummed would have preferred the Cookies n` Cream pizookie. My boyfriends thoughts is that this is `alright` and he ended up finishing the dessert up. This isn`t something I`d re-order.
And, a little highlight - We shared the brushetta mini bites and I love love the pesto sauce, I tried to recreate it but it`s not perfect (yet). I ordered the Gourmet 5 Meat Deep Dish Pizza (this is the same with 4 slices perfect for one). My boyfriend had the Rib Eye 14oz Steak with crispy thin fries and chicken tortilla soup. But this is nothing new - I`ve posted many times about our food - definitely repurchased over and over because it`s so yummy!
