Unbelievably it has been another year!! I have a blog post on the cake i made for lily on her last birthday too! Her birthday fell on easter sunday this year. The last day of spring break, and what a beautiful day it was. It is rare to see such a sunny day here. The one downfall of it being so beautiful out was it started to melt my desserts!! My flowers on the cake definitely melted by the time i got to taking pictures of them.
but it was a absolutely wonderful party! We had a bbq, poor kip started working on the grill early in the morning and got a slight sunburn on the back of his neck! He made shoyu chicken, corn, portuguese sausage, hot dogs, mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, rice, ham. So much food!!! filled my plate with a little of everything which still got me full, but still had to go back for seconds was so amazing. The shoyu chicken was gone in a heartbeat! We were all so full we really didnt have much room for dessert! We definitely just milled around for awhile after dinner before we even had the option of having some of the dessert.
There were 4 items for dessert, the Queen of Sheba cake, strawberry cheesecake poppers, strawberry orange mango jello squares, and creme brulee.
If you are at all interested in how i made the desserts, or other details on them please visit my blog :)
