Back with another homemade card segment post!
Most of the time.. i make cards for my bf`s family lol.. he has a bigger family than me so my scrapbooking stuff usually goes into making their cards.. or just altering and designing stuff for my room.
So this is a card i made for his mom a year or so ago. I forgot to share it and found it in my arts and crafts folder =)
I cut the butterfly by freehand out of mulberry paper and lace. I made the roses out of lace and ribbon. The other ribbons and trims i bought from the fashion district in Los Angeles. And the top card of the card that says happy birthday is a tag i made that spins around when you open the card =).. i used a glue pen to write out "happy birthday" and messed up on the birthday part so i wiped it off.. and then put sugar over it because i didnt have glitter at the time.. and luckily it came out nice.. i sprayed it with hairspray afterwards.. to keep the sugar in place =)
Inside of the card, i made a pocket and put a tag i made that says "happy mothers say".. Since her birthday was on the same day as mother`s day.. i decided to add that in =).. The part i covered is where my bf wrote his message to her. I printed it on vellum paper and just glued it inside.. i think the vellum paper really makes a difference than using regular paper =)
