I stopped by Big Lots today to buy a new contact solution, since I`m running out. As usual, I had to check out the beauty section :) Big Lots always carry Revlon and a few Covergirl items. It`s also a good place to scout any discontinued products. I found a Jovan perfume that I`ve been wanting to get for a long time but for some reason, it was discontinued! Either that or Rite Aid and CVS stopped selling it.
This Revlon lipstick is from their Super Lustrous line. It`s called the `Spicy Cinnamon`. I have an ever-growing Revlon lipstick collection. Lol I particularly went for this one because it has a coral tone to it. I`m currently in search of pretty coral tone lipsticks or any lip products. I am quite tan and I think coral looks better on me, than pink or mauve tones. This was only $2, which is amazing because they are usually around $6-10 each. Overall, the quality is great. I swatched it on my hand and I had to rub and scrub to get it off. Plus, it`s really moisturizing on your lips. I have a few of these lipsticks and I must say, the quality is great!
In the third picture, I swatched the lipstick lightly on the top and layered it on more below it to show how pigmented it really is. I think it`s more of a fall color, as it is quite dark. But you can definitely get away with it in the hotter season by lightly swiping it on. It gives your lips a sheer wash of color.
For any contact-lenses wearer out there, check out Big Lots for Bausch and Lomb contact solution. They have the 12 ounces, which is pretty much one of the biggest sizes available. It`s only $6. Not bad for this particular brand, since I bought a CVS brand contact solution for $5.69 and it was the same size. Also, it comes with a case for my contacts. This is a great plus, because my cases get so dirty quickly and it`s hard to clean them thoroughly. I think it`s better to stay hygienic than sorry! :)
