With 2011 finally over, it was customary that I release my favourite products of the year. Here are just some of the face products that were at the top of my `must have` list!
Powder Foundation: MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation - Why? The coverage. I think its better than using a liquid foundation, any day. Its thick without being heavy and has the ability last throughout day.
Liquid Foundation: Make Up Forever HD Liquid Foundation - Why? Its the foundation used in this advertisement, the first makeup ad without re-touching. The brands willingness to showcase their product in its natural state shows that its one of the best out there.
Bronzer (not included in the image above): NARS Laguna Bronzer - Why? Long lasting and matte, the NARS bronzer gives you the best natural glow. Although its a fairly dark shade, its easily blend-able and looks good on any skin tone.
Blush: NARS - Why? With shades ranging from Amour to Zen, theyre guaranteed to have a colour that suits your skin tone. Plus who could pass up NARS Orgasm, the cult classic?
Mascara: Dior Diorshow Blackout - Why? Its long wear without being waterproof. Fairly tear proof and extremely elongating, it makes your lashes look like they go on for days (without curling). Although its stubborn to remove, Dior knocks it out of the park.
Eyeliner: Smashbox Be Discovered Jet Set Eyeliner (Limited Edition) - Why? The brush. Never before had I seen an angled eyeliner brush quite like this one. It makes applying the awesome product way easier. The eyeliner itself is the most amazing, creamy formula. It glides right on without annoying clumps.
Eyeshadow: Urban Decays Naked Palette - Why? It was the must have palette of the year and the definition of smoky eye in a box. The variety of colours allow for you to create almost any look and the pigmentation and quality of the shadow is out of this world.
Lipstick: Dior Addict - Why? The formula moisturises and evenly coats your lips. The colours range from sheer, to deep and allow for the perfect look every time.
Lipgloss: Bath and Body Works Mentha - Why? By far the cheapest product on the list, but who says you need to spend a crazy amount of money to get a quality product? I trust in these as those little lipglosses you keep in your purse for emergency situations. The taste is minty and best of all, it keeps your lips shiny while repairing them. This one leaves your lips feeling cool and your breath fresh as well!
