On the weekend, I went to a pastry and chocolate shop that`s quite famous and pricey because my friend had never been there before and wanted to see what the hype was all about.
We first ordered drinks. My friend ordered an americano, and I ordered an extra dark hot chocolate. I thought that if chocolate is one of their specializations, their hot chocolate must be good as well. When I got my drink, there was a sifted heart on top. I was quite impressed by the presentation. First sip, I was blown away. It was like drinking liquid chocolate. I`m pretty sure that`s like 1 meal in a cup as it was SOOOOOOO rich. The consistency was almost like a light cream. When I was ordering, I thought a 10oz cup might be too small. But after I stared to drink it, I felt sick of it after only about 1/3 had gone down.
After the drinks, we ordered a small cake (can`t remember the exact name), a few truffles, and a few mini chocolate pieces. The cake was phenomenal. I could taste the delicacy as they mix a variety of different textures in there. Cream, fluffy, crunchy, and airy at the same time. The truffles and chocolate pieces were also good.
Although we went after lunch, we couldn`t eat dinner until very late afterwards because of how much chocolate and carbs we consumed. Now my friend finally understands the hype.
