The autumn/winter collections are normally centred around key concepts and signature pieces that go hand-in-hand with the season and its weather. We see the staple wardrobe items - dresses, blouses and tailoring all speckled with elements of layering, great outerwear and the cosiest of knits.
This season has seen a slight shift in consensus. We`ve seen an uplifting springtime mood, from Thakoon and Michael Kors in New York to Matthew Williamson and Roksanda Illincic in London, and this has been reflected in the shoes accompanying the clothes - perhaps it`s time to read up on how to work that sock and sandal look successfully?
Fear not though, there are still a whole host of options to keep the cold at bay. Here, we`ve picked our favourites from the autumn/winter 2013-14 collections so far.
