I had mentioned in a couple of my recent posts that over the weekend myself, my husband, and my brother in law went to the Bengals practice over the weekend. Well, on Saturday we ran around town buying some new gear to wear. Tons of people have no qualms with wearing jerseys of players who are no longer on the team, but....we`d rather not!
I already had some shirts, as well as my husband. My son, however, grows like a weed and each year needs new stuff. This year we decided to get him a jersey. He hasn`t had a jersey since he was an infant because, my goodness, they can be expensive! We ended up finding one for $35! We picked it up thinking it was going to be $50 as shown on the tag, but it must have been on sale. We got it in the smallest size for kids they make and it definitely has growing room. That`s good, though. If you have kids, you know how thrilled you are when you can get more than one season of wear out of clothing, jackets, and the like. He should be able to wear the jersey next year, too. He got an Andy Dalton jersey.
Then we went to a sports hat store so we could all get hats. Being that we were going to be sitting in an open topped stadium we wanted to make sure our heads were shielded. Funny enough, we each picked a white hat. I was looking at the ones intended for women and they all looked dinky. Plus I wanted a clasp back for size adjustment AND to pull a pony tail through. My husband got one of their new designs and me and my son ended up with the same hat, lol! All of them are white and have the Bengals "B" logo on the front. We also bought a protectant (not shown) to spray on the hats....with them being crisp white we wanted to make sure they didn`t instantly become stained. Plus, it waterproofs the hat.
