Recently I saw a post about coconut oil on LUUUX by another member and I just had to make a post of my own. I received this tip from the YouTuber AndreasChoice (I love her videos... and her!) I immediately went out to my local natural foods store and bought this coconut oil jar. I tried it out that night, left it on for a few hours then showered and washed it out normally. My hair is not VERY dry or very damaged, but I was beginning to get split ends from my daily straightener usage. Anyway, the results were really, really good. I was really satisfied because my hair was incredibly shiny and incredibly soft afterwards. I even tried it as a moisturizer for my skin and, to be honest, I really love it. It actually helped clear my skin up and balanced my skin more, which was a definite bonus.
Overall, I think coconut oil is a must have because of its multiple uses, not to mention for cooking!
Here`s what I did for my hair:
1. Scooped out the oil with a spoon (it`s a solid at first, but melts at about 24 degrees C/76 degrees F).
2. Rubbed it between my hands until there were no more bumps.
3. Applied it directly onto my hair, focusing on the ends.
4. Wrapped a towel around my hair and waited for 1-3 hours.
5. Showered normally.
Hope you guys will try it out!
