Located in Japan, this extremely winding road is called "Iroha-zaka". It connects Nikko and Oku-Nikko. The name of the road (Iroha) is derived from the Japanese alphabet, which is explained below.
The road contains 48 curves. At each curve, there is a Japanese alphabet letter at the corner. The first letter of the alphabet is I-ro-ha, which is the origin of the road`s name.
This road seems extremely frustrating (look at 2nd photo!). I would get tired of all the turns!
- Have you ever been on this road?
- If not, would you ever want to drive down this road?
