According to David Brennan, an exercise physiology from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston,sais that foods rich in carbohydrates help speed muscle recovery when they are consumed within 30 minutes after exercise. This is when the muscles absorb carbohydrates well, and beans, pasta or cereals are perfect to replenish after training. At the same time that we eat good sources of complex carbohydrates, it is important to start drinking fluids, including sports drinks that contain lots of carbohydrates, almost immediately after training.
