I finally got around to re-doing my makeup brush jars. I didnt know which bead fillers would work better so I went ahead and bought 2 different brands. The one in the BLUE bag is from Joanne`s Fabric and the BROWN Label bag is from Michaels. Let me just advise you that the Michael`s beads are SOOOOO much better!!! Im not sure if you can tell, but the Michael`s crystal beads (on the 4th image) are more rounded on the corners making it so much smoother. The Joanne`s one (on the 3rd image) is more rectangular with more straight edges. Thats bad for your brush handles because they end up scratching the handles/paint off easier. The rounder the edges the better your brushes will slide into them when you put them or take them out of the jars. So definitely buy the crystal filler beads from your Michaels Craft Store. Both are about 1 pound and costs about $8. When you fill your jars with these beads, they make each brush stand upright and give them a little space and separation with the other brushes. This keeps the bristles from rubbing against each other. You can also spot the brushes quicker from the bunch. Such and easy project to do when you want to do a little organizing.
