There are so many eye primers on the market. I have had the chance to try 3 different ones.
The first one I have is the Urban Decay Primer Potion. The one I have is a little sample one that came with a palette. It comes in a purple tube with a twist off lid. It has a slanted doe foot applicator that is supposed to be able to reach in all the crevices of the cutely shaped bottle. I find that the brush does not reach all of the product. I am going to depot the rest of it once I find a small container to use. I know I am saying this with out actually cutting the bottle open, but I have seen lots of reviews on this product and they all say the same thing. This is just the original primer from UD. They also have a few other ones, such as Sin. I have not tried any of the other ones. I do like this primer and I think it works well. It does keep my shadow on all day and keeps it crease free. The only negative thing about this one is the bottle.
The second on is Too faced Shadow Insurance. This is the full size bottle. I will say right away that this one is my favourite primer! The tube is a pretty light blue colour and it has a screw off cap on the end. This primer does not have an applicator, you just squeeze some onto your finger and apply. This way I find that it is so easy to control how much you put on. Especially since you need so little of it. With the other two you can easily get too much on the applicator resulting in wasting the product. And you don`t want to do that-these are expensive. I find that this primer keeps my shadows looking brighter and of course keeps them on and crease free. For these reasons and since the packaging is nicer this one is my favourite.
The third primer I have is Benefit`s Stay Don`t Stray. Again I just have a sample of this that I got in a little set at Christmas. This one also has a little doe foot applicator. I really don`t like this style of packaging...I don`t know how the full size is packaged, but I hope it`s not just a bigger version on this. This shows that even if the UDPP was in a straight tube, you still would not be able to get all of the product out. It is hard to get out of this little tube and the texture of this primer is a little odd. This primer seams almost a bit greasy feeling... It does have colour to it as well. It is a just a skin tone colour, but I really prefer it not to have any colour. This one does keep my make up on and crease free, but I just do not like the consistency of it or the colour that it has...
