Battle of the Liners! Stila vs Loreal

Liquid eyeliner to me is so fun to try! I`m a huge liquid liner kinda girl so I`m always on the hunt for new products and just to try out for fun. I`ve came across 2 liners that I really like that have a lot of similarities. The two are Stila Stay all Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner `Intense Black` & Loreal Linear Intense Liquid Eyeliner `Carbon Black.` I love to do a big winged out look and thats always my to go look and what I like to call, Sarah`s signature eye haha.

The Stila liner retails for $20.00 at Sephora and the Loreal liner retails for about $7-9 at your local drugstore, Target, Walmart, etc. The Stila liner is 0.016 fl oz and the Loreal liner is 0.05 fl oz.

The Stila liner is very pigmented and it really does last all day without no smudge or fading. Also, you`ll need to go over the line that you make on your eyes a few times to get that bold black line. The liner itself is very easy to work with and to create a wing look. The formula doesn`t dry out or make your line cakey. It also does not flake which is a really good thing. The packaging is simple and neat and with the cap you just pop it on and off. To get more product, just shake the pen itself. I think this product is very simple and easy to work with especially for beginners. The tip is a very sturdy tip with a movable point. So you can easily control how you want your liner to work and if you don`t have a sturdy hand.

The Loreal liner is a little bit less pigmented then the Stila liner. If you don`t let it dry, it will smudge and start to fade. The pigmentation is not as strong as the Stila liner. To line your eyes, you`ll only need to go over it about once or twice. The liner itself is easy to work with IF you have worked with liquid liners. It can be tricky to hold since the tip is a felt tip like so it`s very movable and bendable and might be an issue if you don`t have a sturdy hand. The formula does not dry or flake out. It does fade though so you would need to reapply it throughout the day which can be a pain. The packaging is simple. You just twist off the top. The upper half is the liner and the bottom half is the product itself. You will need to re-dip the liner into the bottom half to get more product before you can create a full line. The product goes about halfway into the line and then you`ll need to get more product which can be time consuming if you are in a rush. Like I said overall, this liner is easy to work with if you are familiar with felt tip liners. I wouldn`t suggest this for beginners because it can be tricky.

If I had to chose which one, the winner would be the Stila All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. I really don`t think it`s that expensive (I`ve seen worse lol) and it will last you a longer time rather then the Loreal. However, I still love the Loreal liner and it can be a good alternative. You`ll just need to practice with it first. I would recommend both products to anyone and i would also highly recommend the Stila liner.

Hoep you enjoyed this post!
