Battle of the Face Primers!

I saw a post recently on comparing face primers, so it made me want to do it too! I only have 6 face primers/bases, and only 3 are full sized, because I`m not a HUGE fan of them. I`ll use them on occasion, but I really don`t think they do thhhat much. To an extent, yes, but not to the point where it`s necessity. Anyways. I have three from Benefit (<3), one from Hard Candy, and also one each from Too Faced and Smashbox.

Benefit "That Gal" Brightening Face Primer:
This, I love. I got this sent to me for free through Luuux last fall, and it is probably my favorite primer out of all of these. Not only is the packaging cute, but the product is pink! You twist up the bottom to get it to come out, like a glue stick. I swipe it off with my finger, and dab a little all over my face, focusing more on the top half. I feel it makes my makeup look a little less cakey, and also if used under foundation, leaves a slightly dewy finish to the look, which I love. Does it make my makeup necessarily last long? I really haven`t noticed much of a difference, but I just love the finish to pieces.

Benefit Dr. Feelgood:
This is more of a base than anything. Actually, you can use this over makeup too. Pretty much the point of this, is to make your pores disappear, and also make your skin softer and smoother. I used to use this a lot when I got it, mostly on my chin and nose where my pores are bad, and also over dry acne no it wouldn`t look dry and gross with foundation. It goes on translucent, but smells a little bit like lemons. This is in a metal tin, with a sponge; it`s like a balm. I use the sponge to apply it only if I use it under makeup. I`ve tried it over foundation before, but I feel like that just wipes off my makeup. This is an ok product, I probably won`t repurchase it, but if someone got it for me, I`d be happy.

Benefit the POREfessional:
This is just a little size, but that`s ok because you just need a little bit. This is like a nude-colored thick-ish yet creamy type balm, this just sinks into your pores to kind of fill them in. It works pretty well! However, the full-sized is really small for the price of it. But then again, a little does go a long way. I just use a little dab around my nose and chin where my pores are bad, but not allover. As a primer, it`s nothing special, but it does make my pores go buh-bye for a while.

Smashbox Photo Finish:
This feels pretty gross wen you put it on. It feels oily although it says it`s oil-free. However, once sunken into the skin, your skin feels nice and silky smooth. Other than that, it`s priming qualities still don`t wow me, sorry.

Too Faced Primed & Poreless:
Not a fan of this. It feels greasy on the skin, and it does nothing in terms of making my pores disappear. I won`t purchase the full size.

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer:
Ew. Ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew! I absolutely hate this with a burning passion. Worst primer ever. This is the most disgusting thing ever. When it comes out, it`s thick and chunky. When you put it on your face, it`s oily as all getup! Feels absolutely nasty on. That`s all I can say. If anything, it probably makes my makeup come off faster because of the oil factor. Bleh. Hate.

I hope this was helpful! What`s your favorite primer? xox
