Base Coat amp Top Coat Overview

These are all of the base and top coats that I have, and what I think of them! Hope this is helpful!

O.P.I Natural Nail Base Coat

L.A. Colors Hardener-Strengthener
This I picked up at a dollar store, just to try the brand out. This is ok, but not amazing. I basically just use this if my nails are peeling because it does make my nails feel stronger. I`ve only ever tried it as a base coat though. I really don`t care too much from the brush, it`s really thin and doesn`t apply polish very easily.

L.A. Colors Base Coat-Top Coat
This I bought last summer because I didn`t feel like investing in an expensive base coat, and I needed one. It was only $1 at a dollar store. This works for about 2 or so days, it`s not horrible but it`s not amazing. For $1 it`s alright. I really don`t like the brush though, it`s thin and doesn`t distribute polish very easily.

Milani Smoothe Base Coat
This I love! It dries crazy crazy fast, and also dries matte. It`s tied for favorite base coat with the O.P.I one. This one I use more in the fall though, when I start wearing darker polishes, because this one works the best to prevent stains.

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Nail Polish in "Flawless"
Granted, this one isn`t technically a base or top coat, but that`s what I use it as. I used to be head over heels for this! It actually works pretty close to as well as the O.P.I one, but half way through the bottle it got goopy, and I had to thin it out EVERY time I went to use it, so I stopped grabbing for it. It doesn`t dry that fast, though. It dries as slow as the average nail polish.

Hard Candy Just Nails "Matte-ly in Love" Top Coat
This is my mattifying top coat, which I adore! I like using it over gunmetal, black, navy...basically fall-esque colors. It dries fairly quickly and works pretty well! I love it.
