Hey guys! Today I`ll just be reviewing the `shine on` lipglosses and `pout it out` lip liners from the Make Up Gallery part of Poundland`s new make up range, but I do intend to buy more and review each section of the range because I for one am super excited about it all!
When I first saw these, I thought wow. They look super pigmented and awesome, so I thought `what the heck!` and bought these two lovely shades (there`s around 6 more I believe, so plenty of choices ^_^) named Cherry Pop (red) and Pixie Pink (neon pink). For a pound, I wasn`t really bothered if they turned out to be poop. Also whilst I was browsing, I picked up a red lip liner as I often wear red lipstick but didn`t have a red lip liner to hand, so also for a pound I purchased it.
Back to the lipgloss... Firstly I lined just my top lip, to get a little comparison of how it wore/smudged during wear. On first application, it`s not as pigmented as you would imagine. It`s very thick and gloopy and when you spread it on your lips, it`s almost sheer, but if you keep building it eventually gets to the shade you see in the picture above. The pictures above are taken after 2 hours of wear. The top lip DID stay in place with the lip liner, but the bottom lip did run from outside the boundaries of my lips. It didn`t feel overly sticky when wearing it but if you had your hair down and went into the wind, let`s just say it would be a catastrophe... lipglosshair >_<
Overall I`m quite impressed with these for a pound. They don`t leave a weird taste in your mouth like some lipglosses can and they do tend to last but I would bear in mind that they stay better with a lip liner on.
Definitely worth a pound of anyone`s money!
