Another new food experience for me - my first time trying Banh Mi! And before you ask why I didn`t try it before let me tell you that it wasn`t very popular in Berlin until recently. I searched online where to find banh mi here and there were two main locations. There was literally a little fight going on which location had the better food but I settled with Cô Cô Bánh Mì Deli because I wanted to try the more "authentic" version.
I ordered the Banh Mi Special for 4.50 which is a little pricey for a sandwich. All their banh mi sandwiches come with homemade mayonnaise, paté, fresh tomatoes, cucumber, cilantro, pickled carrots and daikon and sauces on homemade baguette bread. On my banh mi there was some kind of spicy and sour sauce and it also had bbq pork and chicken pate. I loved that the bread was slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I also really liked how all the different spices blended together, usually I`m not a fan of cilantro but on this banh mi it tasted really delicious. I would love to come back here and try more food but it is kinda far from my home so I`ll stop by whenever I`m in the area again.
