Having a whole weekend to myself means a whole 2 days for me to run and BAKE! This weekend, I have no homework (well I have to study.. but that`s not homework haha) which equals more time to bake for me and other people.
Today I decided to make some banana bread! I love bread so much, especially banana bread so I decided to go and make some instead of going to the store and buying it for myself! The recipe I used was super simple and I will give you the link for it under this post in the source link =) (I did make some changes to the recipe because.... well just because I wanted too. And guess what one of those changes were? ... I added some chocolate chips and walnuts to the bread!)
All you need to make the bread is-
3 or 4 bananas, smashed (they taste 100% better if the bananas are extra ripe)
1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
tiny bit of salt
1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
These are optional-
half bag of chocolate chips
1/2 cup of crushed walnuts (yummm)
First pre-heat your oven to 350 defrees. Then mix the butter into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl. Add in the sugar, egg, some vanilla, and chocolate chips (YUMMY). Add the baking soda and salt over the mixture and make sure to mix it in. Finally add the flour in and mix and put the walnuts on top (make sure not to mix it) Pour the mixture into a buttered or sprayed pan and bake for approximately 1 hour. Cool on a rack and then you can eat it!
Do you like banana bread?
Have you ever made it before?
