A couple nights ago, i had friends come over for dinner so i made a huge batch of my favorite baked spaghetti. For my personal preference, i love a baked spaghetti over a regular spaghetti for many reasons. The main reason being that the dish is way more flavorful when its baked. Also the leftovers for this is 10x more delicious than on the first day.
Here is what you need:
-grape tomatoes (halved)
-salt and pepper
-In a pot, boil the noodles until done
-When noodles are done, drain and place in a baking dish
-In a pan sauté onions, garlic, green peppers, mushrooms, and ground beef until the onions are golden and translucent.
-Toss in tomatoes and sauce.
-Bring to a boil.
-Season with salt and pepper.
-Pour the sauce and veggie mixture in the baking dish that has the noodles already in it.
-Sprinkle cheese on top of everything
-Using tongs, mix the noodles, cheese and sauce together until everything is evenly distributed.
-Sprinkle more cheese on the top and place in oven
-Bake the spaghetti for 40-45 minutes on 450 degrees or until the top looks golden and sides boiling.
-Let cool a little bit before serving!
This dish pairs very well with a salad and garlic bread. I recommend making plenty because this dishes makes a wonderful leftover as the flavors fuse into the noodles overnight!
